There are so many reasons we love a Norfolk Island Pine. Here are just a few: 1) This plant is actually a tropical evergreen(!!!) that's native to Norfolk Island, a tiny, picturesque spot off the east coast of Australia. It's not even a true pine tree — it's just called that because of it's pine-needle-like fronds.
2) It's not just holiday décor! The Norfolk Pine is one of our staff's favorites for year-round greenery. That's because its beautiful, horizontal branches have a symmetrical growing pattern. Beauty and grace incarnate!
3) But they really do shine during the holidays — drizzle with a few strands of twinkle lights (and some ornaments, if you'd like), and you have a lovely stand-in for a Christmas tree.
The Norfolk Pine makes a lovely heirloom plant — one you can easily have in your home for decades with the right care and attention.
