The lacey fronds of the Japanese Shield Fern add color, dimension, and texture to your space. Newly unfurled fronds start off copper or bronze, then mature to deep green, earning the plant its nickname, Autumn Fern. It is relatively easy-going for a fern but is happiest in high humidity and indirect light, mimicking the environment of Asia’s cool and shady forests it is native to.
