The Ponytail Palm is great for beginners, people who travel, and anyone who's looking for a very low-maintenance but interesting houseplant. So long as it's not over-watered, it should thrive in most conditions. Fun fact: Though the "ponytail" part of its name is spot-on, this plant isn't a true palm — it's actually a succulent, hence its preference for dry soil.

- Water every 1-2 weeks in direct light, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light. This plant can benefit from extra humidity.
