The Cereus Green Coral Cactus is a stunning, easy-care plant known for its unique wavy shape and vibrant green color. Watering Requirements
Water every 1-2 weeks in direct light, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.

Humidity Requirements
Cacti prefer low humidity levels, so it's best to keep them in a dry environment. Avoid placing them in a bathroom or other area with high humidity, as this can cause fungal diseases to develop or the soil to remain moist for too long.

What makes the Cereus Green Coral Cactus grow in that wavy shape?
The unique, undulating appearance of the Green Coral Cactus is caused by a natural genetic mutation known as monstrose growth. In a standard cactus, growth occurs uniformly from a single apical point at the top of the stem, whereas in the Cereus forbesii 'Monstrosus' cultivar, the plant's growth points become scrambled and multi-directed.
How often should you water a Green Coral Cactus?
The most reliable way to water cacti is the "soak and dry" method. Instead of watering on a strict calendar schedule, only water when the soil has completely dried out from top to bottom, which could be anywhere between 1-3 weeks depending on environmental conditions. Typically, during the growing season (spring & summer) you may water every 7-10 days, whereas in the dormant season (fall & winter) you may see watering reduced to every 2-4 weeks.
Why is my Coral Cactus turning yellow or brown?
Color shifts on a Green Coral Cactus indicate environmental stress, which you can troubleshoot by examining the stem's texture. Soft, squishy yellowing at the base signals dangerous root rot from overwatering, while crispy, bleached patches point to sunburn from intense midday sun. If the base turns brown but remains rock-hard, it is a completely natural aging process called corking that helps support the plant's heavy top weight!
